1G DSM Rear Control Arms How-To

May 12 2017

Making tubular rear control arms on your 1G DSM is relatively easy with off the shelf parts. There are a couple of things to note. The first thing is that if you want lower tubular control arms you will have to loose your swaybar or come up with an ingenious way to attach it yourself. The second thing to note is that the aluminum spacers that come with the Tie Rod ends are too wide and need to be cut down to fit the mounting bracket on the rear subframe. This is easily accomplished with a band saw/hacksaw/lathe etc. Other than that everything is straight forward and self explanatory. Below is a parts list with links to the exact parts on summitracing.com.
